I have received at least 6-10 spam via my email or via the private message sector. I just edited some of my profile settings and hope it will help block these creeps. I find it difficult to understand computer settings but here is what I did.
1. Under CP User, under Login and Privacy:
disable private messages
2. Under CP User, under Login and Privacy:
disallow V Card
3. Under Profile Privacy:
restrict to everyone
The only one I feel like will make a difference is to disable private messages....This will be inconvenient if I really want to send a PM. Maybe in a month or two I will change back. The other 2 that I changed, I have to admit I do not understand.
Maybe some of the computer experts can comment when they have time. Take my instructions with caution. I am not positive that I took the right steps.
