Thank you to all who replied with advice.

My onc. is concerned that the neuropathy has come on so quickly since I had only had 3 doses (1 cycle). He is taking a wait and see approach. If I begin to lose my ability to do fine motor skills he will give me a break if I want, but would be reducing my dosage either way.

I'm glad he didn't say I had to stop the Navelbine, yet I sure don't want to end up with severe problems in my hands. It feels a wee bit like playing with fire since mose neuropathy resolves when drugs are stopped, but not all.

Thanks All!!

Joyce

Joyce,

Thanks for the update.

Perhaps you can try get in more exercises since exercise increases the synapses of the neurons... [At least helps more to reconnect/re-wire even if not capable of preventing neuropathy - just my own 'theory'.]

Joyce, I took Lyrica for a short while which helped my neuropathy when on taxol so it may be worth asking your onc about it although it does have it's own side effects!!
