Jackie,
I have to admit that I like his pyramid. I was excited to see MyPlate released however. I believe it still offers an excellent, easy to understand concept. It will be a much better teaching tool than the previous pyramid. I actually attended a breakout session from one of the contributors for the Dietary Guidelines and found the political aspect of it to be very interesting. Overall, I think MyPlate will be useful but as always nutrition needs to be tailored to individual needs.
