Many of you have been through the ups and downs with my grandaughter Jasmine over the years...just wanted to share with you that although the Dr's at Madigan Army Hospital, and Doernbecher Childrens Hospital said she would be lucky to live a year, what a proud moment for me to see all 45 pounds of her walk down the aisle and get her 8th grade diploma. She is a true model of never give up, and has seen more surgeries and medical procedures in her short life than most adults, and yet is always smiling. In the fall she will continue her journey in high school special ed....I am a blessed and happy grandma! She gives me strength to never give up!

Sheila,
I love the picture of you and your grandaughter Jasmine. She looks so happy and very pretty in her blue dress. I am so glad she is doing well and onto High School. Way to go Jasmine! She's inspiration to me.
Hugs,

Kris....

Hi this is Sheila's daughter Jennifer (also Jasmine's Mom). I have posted updates on here b4 for Mom when she was not able to. I wrote a special poem for Jasmine in honor of her recent graduation from 8th grade I read it to Mom over the phone and she asked me to post it here for all of you so here goes....

Today we gather here to honor YOU

For who you are and all that you do

While your family on Earth surrounds you with love

Your family in Heaven smiles down from above

You’ve gone through so much just to make it this far

You’re a beacon of hope a shining star

Through tear filled eyes I was able to see

Something that I was told would never be

You were once diagnosed as failure to thrive

But here you are now you’re still alive

The evidence today is quite empirical

That you are nothing short of a miracle

I gave to you my blood sweat and tears

You gave to me precious memory filled years

So let me be the first to congratulate

My little “Jazzy” the 8th grade graduate
