It's been a very long time since I have posted, but I knew exactly where to ask this question because this site was a godsend for me 6 years ago.
After 2 years on Tamoxifen I have been on Arimidex for 4 years and haven't had any noticeable joint pain. (Yes, to osteopenia, no libido, etc, but we won't go there!) About 2 months ago I started having aches all over, particularly in one of my legs. I just noticed my prescription bottle says Arimidex (or sub) and wonder if this could be the reason.
I saw the thread where someone actually got better with generic. Has anyone gotten worse?

Sorry for the aches you've been experiencing. I have no experience/knowlege about Arimidex. (Generally the generic version is the same as the Brand name drug. Once the time expires, other manufacturers are allowed to make the 'generic' drug according to the formula.) But I found a thread on another board that might help:

I take arimidex and some of my friends have the generic but have noticed no difference in the two meds so far!

Hi

I started taking the generic last October and saw no differences at all. But... that doesn't mean you couldn't as sometimes the inactive ingredients can affect how the drug is absorbed by you (personally). Everyone is different.
