Hi everyone,
I met with my Neurosurgeon today with some good news. They didn't find any new lesions. The tumor continues to shrink -- it's now reduced by 75% in volume. Gamma Knife is doing it's job! Next scan will be 6 weeks. I am going to really enjoy this stretch of time.

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences and sending along prayers and support. It helped and I could feel it!

Hugs,

Kris.......

That's great. Have they suggested how long the initial reaction to gamma knife goes? Sounds like it might continue past the already impressive results.

Pam: I do get tired; but mostly ok. My biggest complaint is tinnuis (ringing in the ears). I had this since I had initial chemo but it seems to have gotten worse and more annoying. I may create s new thread to see if anyone has any remedies. I don't think there are any.

Rich66: They told me the most treatment effect will be reflected in the first 3 months with up to 6 months. So my last fraction was Mar 1st; guess I have another month to see any more progress (hope soo).

Kris, I had tinnitus many years ago. I took Gingko Biloba for 2 weeks and it just went away, never came back. had to get it on prescription but it really worked thankfully as tinnitus is so awful. All the best.

Great news. Ringing in the ears - sometimes when I grind my teeth and/or clench my jaw all night I have ringing the next day. It is a reminder for me to wear the night guard for a few nights. Have you ever tried a night guard?
