Among the new compounds is quebecol -- named in honor of the Canadian province of Quebec, which leads the world in maple syrup production.Man..those Quebecois are so darn..err.."provincial";)

But I do remember hearing of maple syrup plus X in various alternative cancer therapy postings. Sometimes labs catch up with folk meds.

Oh Yes !!!!!!!! I am always happy when food that tastes good is good for me !!!!!!! I drink hot lemon or orange juice with maple or honey when I catch cold. It works better than cough medicine.
