Dear Friends -

I love the old saying, "Live long enough and you will see it all!" In this case, I have taken another step toward something I never thought I would be able to do.

Soon I am heading for a tropical adventure, cultural immersion, eco tour for 2 weeks.

It is not the End of the Earth, but I won't have much access to communication equipment.

Hope everyone will have successful treatments and enjoy the beginning of Spring.

See you after mid-April.

Taxes long turned in, teeth cleaned, new glasses, scans and appts with doc scheduled for week after I return, etc.

I will have enough facing me upon return with Mom still in rehab, and progress slow but sure.

[Income Tax Return] Done! Thanks to the free filers on the IRS site... :)

Note: My brain has definitely improved since last year... [We went to a community free tax preparer last year because I had missed the filing in 2008... That's when I realized we had been overpaying for many years because my brain was 'fried' to the point where there's 'no return' :)]

Hi -
Steph here. Here is Bali. Made the trip without incident and my friends were waiting here. So far, so good. Already had a long orientation to the culture yesterday and visited two main temples last evening for main ceremony that only comes every 210 days. That was lucky, as it was most interesting.

Having a tropical downpour, so morning swim is not happening and daily jaunt is postponed for a bit till this blows through.
