Hi, I'm ER+, PR+ and HER2+++ and post-menopausal. I have just recently had a mastectomy and I'll be starting chemo and Herceptin very soon and then AI (don't know which one yet). I have hot flashes all of the time and have tried lots of things to get rid of them...nothing works. I have been reading a lot about DIM and that it can help with weight gain and hot flashes. I would like to start taking this and I was wondering if anyone else takes it and can tell me your experience with it. I've mentioned it to my Onc but she is skeptical about using it with AI as she doesn't want me on anything with estrogen. I've given her some info to read about it...I hope she does! It is my understanding that DIM balances the "good" and "bad" estrogen levels so it sounds like it might be a good thing to use with an AI. Any info will be appreciated!
