trying to find quote

I seem to remember someone used a quote on on of the forums as part of their signature- something about growing old and clay colored- can anyone help me out with this?

No. When I first saw it on Irene's post, I did some checking and realized it was a widely quoted phrase. But I don't think I've ever found the source.

Here's one example:

" I want to be an outrageous old woman who never gets called an old lady. I want to get leaner & meaner, sharp edged & earth colored, til I fade away from pure joy."-anon.

I always linked it to Irene's positive spirit. Her smile with a firm determination fits her favorite quotation. And I think most of us are just like that...
