Today it is 7 yrs since I received my Cancer DX. I was stage 3b with 34 pos nodes. Her2 pos and ER/PR neg. I would not have gotten through those first years without this website. Joe and Christine have been a part of my life since i started this Journey. I have become a stronger person due to them. I mourn the passing of Joe. This anniversary is not as sweet as it should be. God gave us this website for a reason. Joe did all he could with the life he was given. He should be resting in peace knowing how he gave so much and never heald back. When taking his last breath i'm sure he knew he gave his all and had no regrets....That's what we all want in the end....

Wonderful to hear from you. SEVEN years, treatments, the U of W vaccine trial, giving your best to your family, going back to work - you did it all!

Yes, it is a hard time without Joe, but you are alive and you earned it!

Great family photo by the way!

I echo "vlcarr" comments! You both truly are inspirations to us. We are thankful for you both.

All of us are on a "journey" and one day the "journey" will end ... here on earth! Then we move on to our "eternal" Home! While we are here, let us all live our life encouraging and loving each other and sharing His story!

Thanks for your encouragement to us Michele! Congratulations and continued peace!

Michelle,

When I came to this site in 2005, shortly after the release of Herceptin for early stage, your roll call post at two years out with 35/35 pos nodes was the first one I read on this site.

I bookmarked the post and would read it every time I felt worried or anxious. You were an inspiration to me then as you are still today.

Congratulations!

wow Michele. You are an inspiration to me. I had 18 out of 31 nodes be cancer and I have been so afraid of that. I have HER 2 but no ER/PR, just like you. I did have 2 nodes with cancer in my neck, they could not get out. The chemo destroyed them Praise God. That was a local mets since it was on the same side as my masectomy,, so I was a stage 3C. I am in radiation now and doing good so far ( 3 weeks down 3 to go) I am only on herceptin every 3 weeks for a year, I want to find out if i need to go into any trials when this is done. I am having some complications with lymphedema. do you have any issues with that beings you lost alot of nodes too? again thank you for your post. i needed to see that and know jsut because there was so many nodes dont mean it is going to return. thanks again... bonita
