On June 18, Cancer Care hosted a live discussion titled Progress in the Treatment of Metastatic Breast Cancer. The event was taped and is now available online.
While the introduction would be basic to most of you, the rest of the discussions address treatments, clinical trials, and patient/doctor communication. There is also a comprehensive overview of eribulin, a trial drug that seems to offer another avenue for women heavily pre-treated for metastatic breast cancer. This trial was discussed at ASCO and trial results were posted on this board, as well.
The questions from the audience after the doctors' presentations were very interesting, touching on issues such as bone mets, pain management, brain mets, and biopsies.
