My wife had her 5th Chemo and the 4th infusionof Herceptin. The onc observed that after the 6th Chemo he will order a PET scan and give herceptin(?) tablets. This observation arose when I asked him about the free offer of Roche manufacturers of Herceptin that if you buy 5 they give you one free.Just for info herceptin 450 vial costs Rs115000/-(App US $2500) But I have not seen anything about Herceptin in pill form and would like to know

I haven't heard anything about Herceptin in pill form....
The only drugs I know of that are available for PO dosing include Tykerb & Xeloda.
The typical dose of Tykerb is 5 pills by mouth, 1/daily.
When I was purchasing the drug last summer, they did cost ~$1400/week.

I've only heard rumblings about a future Herceptin kit (shot) that could be self-administered. Sounds like a good idea though.
