Thanks Rich, I walk vigoursly daily but can't be accused of running a marathon!!!!

I take it from this report, the usual daily exercise is good??

There has been other research suggesting that marathoners end up releasing a whole bunch of inflammatory chemicals too.
But everything I've seen so far suggests moderate excercise is helpful and should be mandatory. But the maxim "too much of a good thing" seems to apply.
The irony of the "race for the cure" events is a bit much.

Right after my treatment was over (sometime in 2005) all the lifestyle versus recurrence studies first interim analysis came out. One of these was the exercise one. The most beneficial criteria was 15 mets per week which works out to approximately walking 5 hours per week. Less was helpful (not as helpful as 5) but alot more was much, much worse so this correlates to that.

Yeppers about the irony, Rich... I have many b/c friends who run every charity 5-10K that happens in town (which is every other weekend in Austin) and then train train train for the Danskin triathalon, etc etc. I will be sure and share this with them.
