I walked a labyrinth today. First time ever. I was the only one walking which was really good because as I walked, I cried. It was very spiritual and moving. Helped me to calm down and get present. I'm not sure why I cried, but almost from the very first step the tears ran down my face.
I learned that Labyrinth walking forces you to be present, in order to walk the small path you must pay attention to each step. I had to "just trust". Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Keep walking. Even though at times I wasn't sure I was still on the "right path", and at times I wanted to look ahead to see what I was walking towards, to make sure it was the right way and that I hadn't veered off the "right path", I could not. All I could do was look down and just take one step at a time. With faith that I was moving in the "right" direction. Just like my life.
Powerful stuff these labyrinths. Has anyone else walked?
