Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to write and say to women that are new, there is so much to live for. Today is my 4 year anniversary since diagnosis. I am a survivor/warrior! I have metastatic breast cancer since original diagnosis and I still do weekly treatments. I want to tell you to keep your head up and a smile on your face.

Shonda - Thank you for posting your joy and your success. Stay strong, keep it up! I will have 9 yrs in June since dx. I didn't have mets identified from the initial dx, but mets in the bones were detected about a year later and my onc. said they were probably there all along, so similar to you I think with mets from the beginning. Wishing you many many many anniversarys.
Congratulations. Keep it up, it gives me hope that this can be controlled

Hi Shonda,
Just wanted to say big Congratulations on your 4 yr surviorversary. Here's to many, many more to come. I was dx two months before you so we have sort of a similar dx. They said I was stage III...but I know now I was really stage IV.
I see you started Navelbine/Herceptin...hopefully that is working for you well as it is more tolerable then other chemo regimens. Wishing you well...celebrate!

Congrats, I'm right along with you. I was diagnosed December1, 2005. So I am a little over 4 years, 3 months myself from my stage IV diagnosis. I have been so blessed to remain NED since my original 3 months of chemo. I do remain on herceptin.
