Research advances in Europe and elsewhere?

Just read a story (people.com) about a woman who regained her vision with an operation developed in Italy using one of her teeth to hold an optical lens and hydrate her eye.

What struck me about the story was that the procedure had already been performed in about a thousand patients abroad but due to the US being "conservative" was only now performed here.

So that got me thinking into what kind of therapies, drugs, trials, and research are being developed overseas that we're not aware of here. Does anyone know of any HER-2+ efforts currently underway abroad? How do we make sure that we as patients will have access to them sooner rather than later?

Try doing a search on this forum using just the word gallen, as there have been posts here before that summarize or link some of the info provided from past St. Gallen meetings.

HER2support is based in the USA, but the audience and membership here are international. All too often when people in the USA post, it is from the standpoint of what regimens or tests have been approved in the USA or are commonly used here, which can be very different from the rest of the world (including for our closest neighbors in Canada and Mexico). As you say, prominent research elsewhere is continuing and valuable. Thanks for the reminder!
