Less than 10 hours to TDM! - Detroit update

Hi All,

TDM1 Update from Carolyn-
I am here all tucked into my hotel room in Detroit. I was able to go to the hospital and get the blood drawn and see if I would be good to go for tomorrow. It will save some time because they have to have the counts back before they can order the meds... so should save me about a half hour.

The nurse was so nice. She had a dinner ready for me... wow I actually cleaned the plate with the dinner roll getting every last drop. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and carrots... I think my Grandma in heaven was sending me a signal. They don't feed you on flights anymore and I have been too nervous to eat.

So, the blood work came back fine and we are a go for tomorrow at 7AM. Since I did the blood work I can take a corner of my Valium tonight.

Hi All -

I am on hold. It seems that I got some sort of infection that showed up in the form of a fever and vomiting on TDM! day. Therefore, no treatment and I have been admitted to the hospital until at least Monday. Everyone must where a mask when they come in although the cultures for swine flu came back negative.

I mean I have never been the one to take the easy way but this is getting a little much... ha, ha.

So far everything is back to normal and I feel almost myself again. No fever, no virus and everything is back to normal. Just some wild crazy one day bug on TDM! day. Go figure... I guess this hasn't been challenging enough just a few more speed bumps - ehhh?

Anyway, I will be going home again and wait to see when I can try again. 3 trips and still no meds. Anyway, I am sure there is a reason for all of this and I guess as they say - this will just make me stronger.

I am feeling much better and I hope to break out and go home soon.
