After having my Port in for 4 yrs. and 4 months, I finally had it removed today. I had wanted to keep it in up to my five year point, but I think it had other idea's as it was giving me some problems even with having it flushed every 6 weeks.

So I feel like I had my security blanket taken from me. But this feeling will pass I'm sure. It just seems so strange now.

Vicki,
Oh, how I would love to get my port removed after 5 1/2 years, but alas I'm still using it and as my Onc. said I will always need it.
Congratulations, though I know it must come with mixed feelings for you. I am happy for you and send you my love and support today as always.
Love from your sister, Vickie
