Hmmm, I am glad that I had an MRI...because my first opinion surgeon was more concerned about "breast conservation" than my long term outlook for survival!!! Just goes to show that there is no 'right' or 'wrong' decision...just make sure that one has investigated ALL options and is comfortable with the outcomes! And, for me, as it turned out, I would have ended up with a bilateral mast. anyway...probably after several surgeries to "obtain a clean margin"!
