I feel your fear, sister, and since I can't wish it away for all of us, I've got everything set:

Rolled out the prayer rug next to meditation mat
Candle and incense burning
Crystal in one hand, beads in the other
Buddha on the desk
Tibetan Monk music playing
Prayers and I'll chant for extra measure

I think I have all the bases covered, bring us good news from your scans so I can replace all of this stuff on my desk with a celebratory martini!!!

Dear Diane -
"Quietly nervous" is a good way to put it! We have that slight agitation in our innards and interjecting itself in our sleep. Much as we try to ignore that feeling, it is there.

Hope the scans were nothing but "good news, good news."
