I leave for MDAnderson tomorrow. I will have a check up with Dr. C, treatment and a ultrasound of the chest area. Please say a little prayer that the test and check up go well. I won't have a computer with me this time and I will give you the up date when I get home Thursday night.

Peace

Hi I'm home!!!
My blood was good. They saw some change on my ultrasound so they took a few cells out and they looked fine. So I'm good.

I am so thankful for Herceptin
and tomorrow is my Birthday
and I am a 15 month NED IBC cancer survivor !!

Thanks be to God!

My hope is the gift of the day finds each and every one of us!

Brilliant news Alice I am so pleased for you.Just to say it is only recently that I noticed that they had found old mets in your back that makes me doubly pleased that everything is looking good for you. Did you see Dr C?

Thanks guys!!

Ellie, Yes I did see Dr. C. and a Fellow of his, a new one each time.
Did you know the next international IBC conference in December 2010 will be in France? Dr. C and many others will be there. I remember you being IBC also. Right? Maybe you could go.

Oh Alice! that is such great news...a a doubly great birthday present! Did you stay at one of the hotels there and how long were you there? I've not been coming to the site as much lately, but when I logged on and saw your post it brought a big smile to my face. I am so very happy with you and i can't wait to get there myself (September). Let me know how long you stayed the first time (I think LaMartha said it was 10 or 11 days) and where you stayed as I would want to stay at the same hotel. Whoopee! I love great news like this.
Much love and hugs, vickie

Hey Vickie! I'm so glad to see you, I have missed you.

Great news you will be seeing Dr. C. He is great and I can't say enough good things about the clinical teams.

This trip I had two days of travel and one day at MDAnderson. I stay at the La Quinta on Buffalo Speedway. Reasonable rates, clean and frendly. They have a free shuttle to the hospital. The first time I was there over a weekend.Maybe it was around eight days.

Ellie, You are going to make it to France next year. Joe just posted a trial for you in England. We still have many tools in our tool box for you! You're going to kick that IBC to the road.

Love,

Thank you, Ellie and Alice,
I called Anderson last week and they said I would need to be there 10 to 11 days. Don't know why but I wil make the trip. My right breast has become so inflamed again with several new tumors. Just when I thought things were going so well.....ah, well, I'll keep fighting this as long as I can, trying to get to that 6 year mark! I loved hearing from both of you and Ellie, I hope you get to France and on that trial soon. Love to you both always, Vickie

You could go home and he would call you the results. Its better to stay there. The La Quinta has a freg and microwave... I have a list of hotes they gave me.

Oh Vicke.. look for the Fish tank I'm looking through! It's near the giant leaves! You will find it.

Dearest Alice,

Your quote from Corinthians sustains me each time I read it. You have been such great support and I am so happy for you.

My Onc is putting off my trip to MD Anderson because my mets are now extensive in the right breast. She is getting me into a trial which they are also doing at MD Anderson, with a drug called Pazopanib. For some odd reason the mets are growing at an alarming rate and quite painful so this is one of the last options for me.
The past 5 1/2 years have been such a blessing and I am praying for this drug to work and more time here with my grandchildren. I have not posted on the other board (the main one) because I am busy deciding what is in the near future should this drug not be effective. Please keep me in your prayers. You and ellie are my two IBC sisters and I love you both very much

Md Anderson may still be in the works but right now we are getting scans, ekgs, etc to see if I qualify. I will keep you posted. Tonight I send you my love and prayers, dear sister.

Love and hugs and God's blessings,
Vickie

My Dear, Dear , Friend Vicki, I type with tears running down my face in sorrow. I pray you feel God's promise of support in this time of Temptation, God is faithful.

I pray for your Healing and that the treatment take hold and kills the cancer in your body.

We serve a faithful and gracious God who continues to remind me through every trial to "trust in Him alone", to "not lean on my own understandeing", and that his timing and working out the details are always more perfect that anything I could figure out for myself.

I pray your 5 1/2 years of blessings with your granchildren is times 5.

My friend gave me a 800 phone number for you and me to call. It's like dial a prayer... which is a little funny to me, but she calls it all times of night and day in times of trouble. She said the people that pray with you are wonderful. 1-800-759-0700. I'm going to go and call them and pray for you right now. Now I'm crying again.

I love you my friend, Alice

THANK YOU, SWEET SISTER,
I AM PLACING ALL THAT FAITH IN God, he knows so much more than I could ever fathom. He has placed all of us in each other's lives and I am truly blessed. I will call that number now, as the tears are running across my cheeks......
Praying for all of us this morning.
