The good news is . . . THE HAIR IS STARTING TO GROW BACK AGAIN!!!!!!

The bad news is . . . the hair is starting to grow back again!!!

I have gotten so used to not shaving my legs that I don't even think about it. I was wearing shorts to an appt. today and caught a glimpse of my HAIRY LEGS - - YUCK. You know what that means, more time wasted in the shower to get smooth, more money spent on razorblades and gel. Soon it will be more time spent on washing and styling the hair, and more money spent on hair coloring and hair cuts!

GEE WHIZ, I am never satisfied, HUH!

OK, this is intended to give you all a chuckle. It is also meant for all of you just starting or in the middle of your chemo to let you know that life does return to normal, so hang in there and keep smiling.

Love to you all :)

Hahahaha Alice........how true, huh? Are we ever happy. LOL! I remember saying (when bald) I'll never complain about a bad hair day again. Well, guess what I DO......http://her2support.org/vbulletin/images/icons/icon12.gif Shame on me, huh?

Thanks for the smile today.http://her2support.org/vbulletin/images/icons/icon7.gif

God's Peace...

Hi Alice, i too enjoyed the time when i didn't have to wax or shave or blowdry my hair, that's one of the few advantages of being on chemo.
The other thing is my skin was glowing all the time while i was on chemo. i could have different hair do's , thanks to the different types of wigs i had, Here in Kenya wigs are so popular and affordable, i could change to any style i wanted.

Ha HA HA Alice!

I also loved the not having to shave my legs...and I swore I'd never do it again! Living near Santa Cruz, of course, nobody would notice...

Well, that lasted about a month!

No, we are never satisfied! But why should we be...we deserve EVERYTHING and MORE:)

LOL! My hair grew in curly and I haven't gotten in cut in at least a year. I've changed the color about 5 times.

It is so great to have hair! :)

Alice I am with you with the hair growing in.....

I only complain because I found underarm hairs before the hair on my head started to come back...grr.....

I can't wait to get haircuts again :)

'lizbeth,

You are not talking about the same 'hair' they are talking about, are you? You are talking about the ones on your head, not the ones on your legs... :)

I didn't do chemo, but the rads wiped out those pesky hairs around my nipple. Never came back either!

Enjoy the good new hair, and OFF WITH THE UNWANTED STUFF!!!!

Love

Jacqueline

Thanks for all your replies!

Shobha, I'm so sorry I set your heart a-pounding, I didn't mean to frighten anyone.

I wanted to add that I know I will have a Complete Follicle Recovery when that one pesky chin hair returns!!!
