Let me just mention how touched and blessed I am to be a part of this family. Thank you for thinking of me today, my birthdays are rather special to me too. This picture is getting posted without the permission of Ed, as you know, I think he is so beautiful to me. He feels he looks too sick. If you do not hear from me tomorrow, call the authorities, he probally will leave me in Boston if he finds out..hehehe. Ah, if this is the worst that I do to him he is a lucky man.

This is Shelley, a close friend and someone I call my sister, she lived with and took great care of my Mother-in-Law. Ed and her have known one another for over 40 years. Of course there is the Mighty Oak in the center, and me. Look at him hold 'my' hand, look at that fight in his eyes, his undying and constant smile. Someone at the party sprayed crazy string and he put his hands up to protect me, instinct, I cried inside....he does that to me. Even at sick as he is, he always watches out for me, it is endearing and precious. Wish I could protect him as well (smiling), but I try within my realms.

We had a great time I we celebrated my day, our day. The cards, the cake and ice cream, the laughter. When it came time to blow out the candles everyone said to make a wish.....what they did not know is that I said one wish over and over. It was a wish I know you have said and wished before and it is the only one I ever want to have.

Thank you for making my day so complete. Friends and family are what I live for. I can make it through anything just by having all of the wonderful family in my life. Thank you for allowing me to live my life beyond breast cancer, I love you all! There are days and moments of days that we feel normal, today was one of those days.>>Marie

Hahaha, talking like that coud get you a visit from Believe51 herself (laughing hard)! The '51' was his age when I found our home here at Her2support.......I am actually 40hmhm (lol). I do however feel like I am 52! Ed was diagnosed at 50 and this November he will turm 54. It is our biggest wish to see him have a 3rd Cancerversary and another birthday this year. Jackie, do not feel bad about the '51'thing, the smiles and laughter you supplied to me today made me feel sooooo good. Love to you my special friend.>>Believe51

It's a long way from Long Island. Before you embark on the trip, be sure to leave your 'Long Island Tea' (You sure you live in Rhode Island and not Long Island? :) at home as we all know it's not really 'tea'... :) In the meanwhile, I'll warn the DPS of Texas to watch for a 40-ish lady who's 'laughten' driving. We also have a program here called 'click it or ticket it', so be sure to fasten your seatbelt... And wear a hat if you are taking your convertible...
