8 years and counting

Today is the day it was confirmed I had a diagnosis of breast cancer 8 years ago. June 13 was the date of my mastectomy. I'M STILL HERE! What a journey... ups and downs, hopes and fears, strength and weakness, anger and gratitude, faith and skeptism. I know little more than I did 8 years ago, but I've grown as well or so it seems on a good day. I hate that this disease has invaded my life yet I'm praying that I can be strong and live for many more years to come.

I thank you all for your support, wisdom, friendship and honesty through this journey we're sharing.

Nothing like a bit of sunshine news to bask in; thank you for sharing! EIGHT years!!! Wowie! And I thought my 5 years was pretty darn good! I met a woman last month at the metastatic breast cancer conference at Dana Farber who has made it 30 years as a stage 4 - hope springs eternal!
