It has been almost 3 1/2 yrs. since I finished my last weekly Herceptin.
Like some people I was one that put weight on while I was getting Herceptin.
I have been eating right and doing exercise to no avail, not loosing any at all. It just seems like after Chemo and then Herceptin my metabolism just died.
BUT, I just kept on trying. SUDDENLY in the last 2 months it my metabolism has speeded up and I have FIANLLY lost 21 pounds. I want to try and loose at least 10 more.
I just can't believe that it took SO LONG for it to come off.

Can't rush perfection, Babe! Congratulations go out to you on your accomplishment, you worked hard for this. Remember, the slower the weight is lost, the more apt it is to stay off. Hoping the other 10 goes faster. Loving You>>Believe51

Hi Vicki, Congratulations!!
I have a question for you. I too am working to lose weight. I have lost 10 and have 50 more to go. I gained 20 in the last year with treatment. My question is, have you had MUGA test over the years and did you see any change in your score with your exercise and weight loss? Again, congratulations on your success. You Go Girl!!!

Alice, I did have an Echo done about 3 months after I finished Herceptin and my score was up to 70. The lowest it ever got 57.
But since I have lost this weight I have not had an echo done.
I do use a heart rate moitor when I'm on the treadmill, and my heart seems fine.

Hi Vicki,
That's great news. Ruth has been SO frustrated with the weight loss issue. She's been exemplary about diet and exercize and it seemed to do no good whatsoever. She'll be encouraged that this too can change.
