Any of you take Acai Berry Supplement? What do you know about it? The hot flashes have started up again and they are bad ones...http://her2support.org/vbulletin/images/icons/icon11.gif!!! A friend recommended Acai Berry Supplements and said they helped her.
Thank you....

Hi Mary Jo,
I take Mona Vie which is a drink that contains the acai berry. I like taking it because I feel I have less inflammation and joint pain, not as many hot flashes and my hair seems thicker (It didn't grow back as think in the front)
I think Mona Vie is way too expensive and I even stopped getting it for a while, but I haven't been able to find anything that compares.
I am open to other supplements if you have found something.

Hi Karen,
Well, I haven't "found anything" but someone told me of the supplement. I am asking anyone who knows anything about it to share what they know.
Maybe we'll learn something .... hope so. :-)

Mary Jo, I also had some one mention this to me as well. They also said it good for weight loss as well. BUT I haven't found anyone who has had any experience with it.
So, I will wait along with you and see if any one knows.
Like Karen, I think it's really good, but really expensive. I stopped buying it for a while, but started noticing some aches and have just started drinking it again. I drink the "active" with the glucosamine.
If either of you find something better in the acai family for less, let me know. fyi, at my health food store, they sell pure acai in the freezer section, but it's not easy to use and with the bright purple color, it's messy, too. Drinking the MonaVie is a simple 2 oz. shot. So, I'll finish off the few bottles we have left and see how it goes.
I bought some Knudsen's Just Pomegranate juice today, but it doesn't taste as good as the acai.
