I met a woman a few years back who was a HER2+++, ER-/PR-, BRCA+ breast cancer survivor (9 of 12 lymph nodes). She was diagnosed just a few months before her dad passed away from BC.

I ran into her yesterday and she will be celebrating her 10th year of NED in November 2010 (and will be 42 years old as well). She is truly an inspiration.

That is absolutely wonderful to hear...so encouraging. We can never hear enough stories of survivors such as herself. I agree with Laurie...it would be nice if she would stop by our her2 site. :) Either way...thanks for sharing that.

I will try and see if she will stop by the site. She was given Herceptin with her initial treatment! Her doctor had the foresight to use it even in its early development!
