Dear everyone,

Did any of you have nausea and dizziness simultaneously during femara? My mom had it 1 or 2 times in the morning or when waking up in the night. This morning it was really bad, she was just about to throw up. Dizziness is gone but she still feels sick slightly th whole day. Hasn't eaten anything. I am hoping it is one of the side effects of femara, which she takes before bedtime and is the only treatment she is having right now.

I had been taking Femara and did not experience this. If she is taking this at bedtime, I don't think she should be dizzy in the morning. Is she taking this on an empty stomach? I hope others can shed some light on this for you and your mom.

Belle,

I haven't had this symptom, but dizziness is one of the side effects described in the disclosure that comes with my 90 days of pills each round. I remember when I first read it, thinking it was odd that I needed to "exercise caution when driving" until I found how it affected me.

I do suffer Femara related tinnitus; tinnitus is a hearing problem and a potential cause of dizziness is an inner ear imbalance, I wonder if Femara affects the ears in particular?

Best of luck to your mom.

Thank you! Last night we had sushi at about 7pm and then she took Femara around 11pm before bed. So her stomach wasn't that empty...

Hopeful, I also read dizzyness and nausea as one of the frequent (<10%...not sure) side effects of femara. I think her hearing is ok, but I will ask. Mom has been on femara for a bit more than 1.5 year.

Thank you for your nice wishes. Hope it'll go away.

Thank you, Marie! Mom is much better today. Still, I'm concerned and will ask her doctors. She had such a spell once in summer but this time it came a bit stronger. Hope it's nothing serious.
