The box of Tiptoe and friends arrived. I am overcome with emotion. Just wanted to say that I'm going to wash my face and change into my pj's and "unpack" this treasure trove of unbelievable items. You ladies are too much. This is strong medicine. I can see that it's overflowing with love - and funny stuff. The PERFECT mix for me!
Thanks everyone. xoxo Flori

Yes Flori -
The HER2Support.org travelling mascots are powerful medicine!
I'll bet the journal needs a Part 2.
I think for the newcomers who don't know who they are, we need to bring in a thread of introduction. And I need to firm up the schedule once more.
Enjoy them and maybe taking them to Melrose Avenue will be more their speed. Although I understand things are a lot more pricey and "special" than when I last shopped there ...

Fahrklempt...wasn't that word made famous by a Sat night live shtick..."I'm fahklempt - talk among yourselves"??
Well anyhow - it means choked up with emotion - overcome with emotional feelings.
I took Tiptoe to my sister's tonight and shared with my family the whole story and book and stuff. They were just amazed and my 17 year old niece wants to spend Saturday morning taking pictures and helping me fill in the scrapbook.
They were blown away by how many loving hands have touched this little hamster. I took TT (seriously - titty?) to my UCLA support group today. And of course tomorrow is Halloween so I'll do my best to come up with a costume! Maybe we'll go to Temple tomorrow night for Shabbat services and I can post a picture of Tiptoe reading Torah. LOL.
Monday is my Pet scan. Bet I'm the first person to show up with a "pet hamster". xo xo Silly fun is good. Flori
TipToe on the walk of stars in Hollywood?

Ah - Flori, you are in the Spirit of Tiptoe now! I think a photo of her reading Torah is just fine. (Don't forget her glasses!) She is supposed to be Buddhist, but is very open minded as Healing is her REAL mission in life.
Joe hit on it. Since Tippy is a CHINESE hamster, she would appreciate a visit to Grauman's Chinese Theater, if it is not too much of a trek from your place.

The magic of Tiptoe and her tale (not tail) is undeniable. I think I tried to EXPLAIN her in my post in THE journal in 10/07. Check it out...
Her meeting with you will bless you and all around you! I can see it is working already.
Kineahora (a phrase said to ward off all evil), just in case... She likes to kibbitz (josh and tease) and humors you along. Lox and bialys are most appreciated. Can you believe?!
Remember she is a bit of a maven (an expert, a really knowledgeable Being), so feel free to speak your heart. She is quite chatty.
I found Tex to be a kind of Aw Shucks kind of guy. Very charming, in his goofy way.
The rubber chicken (who I called Avis, cause she apparently came from Aveslabs) tends to roost and observe. But, who knows. Maybe you can coax her into conversation.
Enjoy! HAPPY HALLOWEEN. AND GOOD SHABBOS!

Can you believe it? I am all choked up just remembering how special Tiptoe and Tex were for me. Haven't met the "Chick" yet but am looking forward to it. Flori, I am so glad you got to meet them and to know that they affected you much as they did me and my friends and loved ones.. I eagerly await my turn with them.
Love & Hugs.
Marlys
P.S. to Steph:
You know Boise and Idaho are hosting the Special Olympics in February. Maybe we could make their trip here for that time? Think about it!!

Tiptoe (Tippy, Tipsy, the Tipster), Tex -- and the Chick!!! Chicklette?
Still trying to name the poor little thing. (I think if you squeeze her in the palm of your hand she kind of acts like a stress reliever...) I'm just thinking out loud...
