Well, I have finished hyperthermia radiation. The rad onc used a form for both the left breast and right chest wall. This is to bring the radiation dosage up closer to my skin. Which is good because the cancer was in my skin but son-of-a-gun, I am burned. I have two very sore spots under each arm and other spots where the skin is broken down. Oh well, at least I can't see the cancer that was there. Hopefully, this means I am ned. God, I hope so.

It is so good to get caught up on everyone's post. I am glad to see so many of you doing well.

Congratulations on finishing your rads. Rads can be difficult at the end. The skin starts to break down. I know. And in your case the hyperthermia was tough too, but it seems like it was the right choice of treatment.

My rad onc referred me to UCSF for the hyperthermia. My med. onc didn't really say too much about it. The rad onc at UCSF was very positive about it.

Hyperthermia rads is used when you already have had rads. They give you a lower dosage and then heat up your skin so it has the same effect.
