WELL, GUESS THERE ARE SOME MORE FOODS TO ADD TO MY DIET TO INHIBIT HER2. New research shows that delphinidin DECREASES HER2 CELL GROWTH, INVASION, AND downregulates the brk enzyme that contributes to her2 resistance to drugs like lapatinib and herceptin. Delephinidin is a phenol found in plants with blue/black color like blackcurrants, blueberries, concord grapes, eggplant and cranberries.

Thanks, Robin -
Our friend, Al from Canada, was big on looking for ways to downregulate the Erb2 and any other cell growth sensitizers.

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil report was so exciting for so manyof us here, and this is another step in that direction.

Good thing I happen to drink a lot of cranberry juice, grow and eat lots of blueberries, blackcurrent jam and eggplant. Not sure what FORMS of these foods are best, but I will keep with them anyway!

Hi, STeph, I miss Al and his vigorous efforts to research and share his interesting findings on her2 pathways and diet/supplements to fight her2 proliferation. There are so many studies in mice and cellular lines that prove certain foods do down regulate her2, however, the clinical in vivo studies are infrequent, which is very unfortunate. I feel that if there were more patient related studies to prove certain foods benefited those with bc, then more of us would get prudent and much needed dietary counseling during diagnosis.
