Well thanks again everyone for those nice wishes.
We went to a great Italian restaurant last night for dinner - I had a warm mushroom salad, followed by gamberoni (huge pieces of shrimp) pesto pasta with veggies - but the dessert was the piece de resistance - they have fabulous vanilla creme brule on the menu, but if you know about it (and I do) you can request in advance the chocolate creme brule - (and I did!!)... This dessert is really decadent, and I relished every mouthful. We also had a nice bottle of a red Californian Yellow Tail.
Then upon arriving home there was a big box of fancy cookies at my door sent by a cousin in California - so I of course had do woof down one of those babies...

Also received two gorgeous bouquets of flowers from different friends during the day.

Well, you only turn 50 once, and birthdays are a BIG DEAL now, right folks?
