After watching tonights show on cancer it made me aware of all the cutting edge treatments and techniques and trials
that are available now. How do you find the places that do this type of treatments and what does it take to quality. I would be very much interested in taking a new approach to try and keep this beast away but my oncologist never suggests anything, just keep going on like I am. Anyone up to date on how to find where these are done. I would like to do more than just sit here and wait for it to come back, I want to be proactive. sherryg683

I agree! My onc just tells me to keep doing what I'm doing and he'll see in whatever months. I've wondered if there was more I could be doing.

I watched it on NBC and it had a couple cut in's for the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis. I'd think that a Center like that would have info on cutting edge treatments.
Siteman is also a research facility.
I think if I were to re-occur, I'd like to go to Siteman.

On the first special I was so proud to see that the "Trilogy" machine made the news. Rhode Island was the first to use this "Magic Machine"; we developed it right here. Two years ago I went to speak at a BC seminar and that is when I was first introduced to it! Shows great promise.>>Believe51
