I Feel Like I'm Prepariing For A Show-down Between The Good Guy And Bad Guy. Just Me And My Cancer In The Chemo Room, Waiting To See Who Makes The Next Move. Does It Know I Have My ''Red Devil'' A/C Treatments Planning To Blast It Away Or Is It Waiting To Kick Me In The Gut Again. I Know It Never Fights Fair & Is Just Waiting To Pull The Rug Out From Under Me. I Know It Will Throw Dirt In My Eye And Stab Me In The Back. If I Ever Get Ahead Of It For Just A Moment I Can Hear It Whispering That Line From The Terminator Movie ''I'll Be Back''.
I Hope My A/C Will Blast It To Bits And I Can Whisper Back ''Hasta La Vista Baby.''

It's that cancer that should fear the Red Devil. I guess it's sort of like having the baddest gunslinger in the west...on YOUR side!

Mighty Oak had the Red Devil http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/347.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZRxdm603YYUS) and it kicked their butt. If I was cancer I would leave right now before you do some damage!! And Sheila, I just read your post and even I am afraid!! LOL. Lots of Love>>Believe51

May sound silly, but what is the REd Devil?

There are NO "silly" questions here. Some of us are just a little farther along in our fight and knowledge and are here to give info.
RED DEVIL = Adriamycin, a really potent and nasty form of chemotherapy.
ALso known as BIG RED or BIG BAD RED, it is given as an IV push from a big syringe and is a reddish color. Turns to a milder looking pinkish color when infused with saline as it is slowly given.
This drug is pretty hard on a person in general, with side effects and hair loss.
BTW - I had it in weekly doses and was never sick to my stomach.

Steph, thanks for clarifying this. I did not have that, i had taxotere.

Hi "Not" -
I drew the lucky number to have BOTH the Adriamycin AND the Taxotere. Taxotere was much harder on me, given the every 3-week dose ...
