Mushrooms and aromatase suppression

This is very interesting!! I wish I qualified for the trial (I'm treated at COH) but I don't. I love mushrooms but don't eat them all that often - that is until now.

Hi Gerri,

These are the one "snack" I have been able to fit into my diet in hope that the trial proves successful. I eat them like popcorn!

I started taking maitaki mushroom supplement during my first bout with bc. The Japanese have been using mushrooms as chemo for centuries. I did discuss this with my oncologist and he was fine with it. Talk to your doc before taking anything new. I now take a complex mushroom supplement (3 different mushrooms) and add mushrooms to omelettes/salads/dinner as often as possible. Grilled portabello mushroom burgers - yum!!!!
