On Taxol for 6 weeks and still hair!!!!

Just thought I would spread a little happiness here. It's usually sad or bad stuff talked about.

That's right, you heard it. I am the talk of the chemo nurses at my treatment facility. I still have a headful of hair after weekly treatment #7 of Taxol.

I'm sure that will change when I have to start FEC in August. But for now, it's kinda nice.

It is kind of nice to be able to keep your hair after these many treatments. Enjoy it while you can. In the meantime, do find the matching hair piece you like to wear in the future. Because it is coming... :)

I, too, kept my hair for quite awhile into treatment. It never went away completly, but eventually I looked a bit like a ostrich! So you probably need to be prepared. But enjoy it for now!

CAN YOU LOAN ME SOME????????????????? The Taxol Gods have not been as nice to me...I look like Mr Clean, but my hair did eventually start growing back on Taxol last time.....

Terri, You are so lucky. My hair came out after 10 days and then I was balder than the cue ball, even shiney. But, as Bonnie mentioned you probably should be prepared just in case. When my hair did grow back, I had the lovely chemo curl for 6 months and then it went back to being straight.http://her2support.org/vbulletin/images/icons/icon7.gif
