Joe
Just looked at the calendar and found June 9 is your first day of retirement. Glad to know you have a job for life with Christine and our site.
We wish you and Christine many relaxing days.
Hmm.... you are already wearing Hawaiian shirts!

Joe and Christine,
Congratulations on your retirement!
Based on my experience around my parents and my In-laws, people get busier after their retirement.
My father became a teacher, elementary principal, and then a junior high school principal after he had retired as an Army colonel at the
age of 52. He eventually retired from teaching at 65. My Mother-in-law retired after she had taught school for 30 years and later picked up the sales business and became a successful representative for Avon - the famous 'Avon Lady' in their rural town!
They all have travelled broadly and maintain an active schedule. They are all over 80 now, and my Dad will be 93 this summer.
So, plan ahead, you are gonna be busy!

Oops, didn't see this post before I started a new thread. Oh well, best wishes on your retirement, again. Joan
Congratulations, Joe! You and Christine take a little time off from everything and enjoy yourselves.

Yeah - Joe has been wearing the flowered shirts in preparation for retirement since I met him a few years ago!
With two daughters to keep track of as well as this web site, Joe does not NEED a Honey-Do list.
I'm with Bill - take a little time off and don't take your computer!

Happy Retirement and I'll be willing to bet you're at least as busy before retirement, if not busier. I hope you have special things planned!

that I can sing and you can hear it, and it's beautiful in perfect pitch:
Happy retirement to you,
Happy retirement to you,
Happy retirement, Happy retirement Dear Joe,
Happy retirement to you!
Of course you recognized the tune as the same one for Happy Birthday, right?
Best wishes! Donna
