View Full Version : Prepare for the Deluge
The Annual ASCO Meeting will take place in 11 days. Christine and I will be unable to attend due to an important prior commitment, but the HER2 Support Group will be represented by Vernal Branch, from our board of directors, Donna D and her husband Loren. Also representing us will be Ms. Gaynelle Rudis of the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation.
We expect there will be a flood of news releases, mostly positive:

Hi Joe
I am going to see my onc today after having a PET scan on Friday. I have had 3 cycles of Ixempra/Xeloda but I have a feeling that it is not working.
My onc office is offering the Herceptin/DM1 trial but I was excluded due to taking "a little too much Adria" back in 1996.
I was wondering if you knew if there was a way to get compassionate use in this trial? I will, of course, discuss today but I know you are so on top with your information or who to ask.
I would appreciate any info you can pass over to me.
Thanks Joe and you and Christine have a great day

Irene, you need this study! Call me or email me and I will get with my study nurse and see if she can give some sort of help. They are looking for more people. I had to jump through several hoops before I got approved for the study.
It was a pain, but worth it.
Hugs-Verna
