I've just finished my year of Herceptin, and can get my port taken out now.
All scans and blood work look good. All NED.
So, I'm looking forward to getting away from "cancerworld", for a few months. At least until I get my 6 month follow up diagnostic mammo.
I appreciate everyone here, and the help that I've received from you all. I'm saddened at the loss of our forum sisters, just as I'm saddened at the loss of some of the people I've met and become friends with at chemo and rads visits.
One frustration I've had at home, is having experienced quite a lot of hip and leg pain, and having a couple of my doctors not seeming to pay attention or care about my complaints, giving me the impression they think "cancer-itis".
Thankfully, my Rad Onc is listening and sending me for a spine mri, looking for possible spinal stenosis.
I guess I'm just letting off some frustration here, among people I think will understand.
Thanks for being a great support group. I'll be checking in now and then.
