I've been going back and forth between the leukemia on and the bc onc. I've been drained of almost all my blood (not really, but it just feels that way...). Strangest thing, my eyes slowly started to clear up and my urine has become light yellow (dark urine is a big sign that something is wrong with your liver). Last week my bilirubin (liver function) was 10.2 (normal is less than one). This week my bilirubin is at 2.4!!!! Without any treatment and (thank God) no liver biopsy, my liver is fixing itself. My bc onc seems to think this may be a reaction the the Xeloda??? So, I think we are holding off on the Xeloda for a while, and I'll just take the Fasalodex and the Herceptin for now??
I am in New Jersey this weekend with my daughter. Another concert. This is a 3 day, outdoor concert with over 200 bands playing. I went to yesterdays concert, while the other mother we are with slept. Today, she went to the concert, and I spend the day at the outlet stores, in the pool and taking a long and wonderful bubble, jet bath. I even treated myself to a lovely lunch out. Tomorrow. we will all be going to the concert. There are a lot of good bands playing tomorrow. I am thrilled to be here (truly). They had me scheduled for the liver biopsy, and I did the happy dance when they called to cancel!!!
Tiptoe made her journey to Texas to be with Brenda. We had a great visit. She is starting to get very expensive to ship around with all her souviners...That's it for now. I am on the hotel's computer. Love to all...

Love to you...

Hello Madame Dubois! I was going to give you one more day before I "released the hounds" to start looking for you. You sound great! That is awesome news about your bilirubin count dropping that much in a week. That sounds like a good plan to me- no Xeloda. That's what the doc. said I'm sure. That sounds like a fun time coming up for you with all the bands. You go girl!!!! Love, Bill

Hi Maryanne - Great news... have fun! I love festivals and concerts and go to them as often as possible. I wanted to go to Coachella in the Palm Springs area this year, but I was otherwise committed. I am in Denver this weekend, and sadly Tippy and Tex didn't make it to my doorstep before I flew out yesterday, so they aren't making their appearance at the CURE Magazine Day of Caring weekend - but I have had ALOT of interest in our site, and have handed out a lot of brochures, so we might see even more new members soon. When I get home on Monday I will send the "kids" on to their next destination, tuit suite.

"Keep on rockin' in the free world ..." as the shaggy haired one sings.
I am SO relieved to hear that your liver bounced back so nicely. Bodies can be wonderful or they can be a royal pain. Sometimes both.
Let us know which was your fav group!

Thank you for the update Maryann. I have to tell you that you are one of the most inspirational persons I have "cyber" known. You so willingly share your story. Thank you. Keep fighting the fight. Keep living life to the fullest.
Lisa
You are so amazing. A three day outdoor rock concert would put me in bed for a week.
