Woke up at 3:00AM running a fever and feel like SH*T.

Feels like I have the flu - 101 - chills and aches - thirst. Was going to have a dinner party tonight at my house but will now postpone.

Any advice for other meds to take? I just hate feeling sick - what a time robber!

Okay - Regis and Kelly back from commercial. Hugs to all.

This only lasted a day with me and only with the first infusion. If you can take Tylenol or Advil, take a dose. It will make you feel better. Do everything to yourself like you have the 24 hr bug - rest, soup, TV.

Flori - do whatever Becky says. And thank you for being my guinea pig... through your trials and tribulations with Zometa, I now know what to expect. Take care of yourself sister, this too shall pass as Becky tells you and she has already been the guinea pig for you...

Hi,
I also had a bad reaction to my first dose of Zometa. I went to school the next and and within a half hour I started feeling awful and had to go home. It lasted the weekend. After that initial dose, each treatment was easier, and now I basically do get a reaction.
Hoping your next treatment will be easier.
Best regards,
Barbara H.

Flori - are you sure it is the Zometa and not Regis and Kelly? Regis always makes me want to hurl.

Sorry, not funny, hope you are feeling better soon.

I had the same reaction with first infusion. My next infusion was a year later and I barely had any reaction, though my onc had predicted same as last. So even this far apart, the subsequent infusions are not as bad.

Good one Chrisy- you made me laugh. And finally I am feeling better - no fever but FATIGUE big time.

Sassy -Thanks for letting me know about the year later because many have said only the first one was bad but I'm already worrying because I will not do my second one until 6 weeks later. So maybe it's possible that I won't react for the next one!

My best friend here in MS just had her first Zometa 2 weeks ago (for recurrence to bones)...she had the same reaction and was so frightened! I hope you get NO reaction the next time,Flori!
