I posted last week and got some wonderful, positive responses from women who have beaten liver mets. To recap, my mom has extensive liver mets and is on the brink of liver failure. She started today on Abraxane/Herceptin. Has anyone had any success with shriking mets with this combination?
Thanks!

I had one liver spot that disappeared rapidly with taxol and herceptin.

Hi -
You are a great daughter to help your Mom this way.
I also had extensive liver mets and took Taxol as one on the drugs. Abraxane is a newer, small molecule version of Taxol. My combo also included Herceptin and Navelbine. Navelbine in combination has also been a good drug for many against liver mets.
My liver has been free of disease for over 5 years after successful treatment.
