Well gang it took me awhile, being tech challenged, but I finally figured out how to post my avatar. Here is a picture of me taken last week, after my first post-chemo trim - last chemo was May 10, 2007. My hair grew in darker than before, with less grey, and straighter.

So now you can finally "see" me -

Yeah Caya!
Nice to see you! You did better than I. Had to have my husband help with a photo.

Like you, my hair came in much darker than before chemo. I was straight before and still straight. Hair is still growing slowly but it is growing. I am about two months ahead of you with our last treatments. Just had it highlighted and it did brighten things.

God Bless,
Donna

Love the picture and your hair looks great...mine is only about 3/4 in long if that and came back very grey...I tried to color it, now it looks like bird feathers! Oh well!

Hi Caya,
I have yet to figure out how to get a picture up. I also have to admit, I haven't tried. My hair came in the colour of dry lint. I went directly to the hairdressers and ordered 7N. and when it grew long enough had some highlights. By the way, I go to Thornhill to linedance a couple of times a year. I live two hours north of Toronto, but presently in San Antonio. If I can learn to put up with the side effects of Xeloda, I will be dancing there again in September. I've been reading about the record snow in the Toronto area and from experience I know this can have a negative effect on the spirit. Hope you are getting out.
Hugs,
Diana

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone!!

Diana - yes we've had alot of snow here - it was a record breaking February, and so far in March we've already had 2 storms. Sounds like you are one smart gal to be down in San Antonio at this time of year...

Now I know why my mother and stepfather spend 6 months of the year (Nov. - Apr.) in Florida.

all the best
