Radiation treatment today

Dear friends,

It is with much anxiety and trepidation to report my first radiation treatment to my right lung. I will have a total of 15 treatments.

The possible side effects are sore throat, dry cough and fatigue.

I will keep you posted. Wish me luck and please pray for me.

Adriana, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband. I have an Aunt who recently went through 15-17 rad. treatments to the right lung, and she did quite well. She has emphysema as well as a tumor in the lung. If fatigue has you worried, many cancer centers offer the services of a nutritionist for free, or consult online sources. One recommendation is to eat smaller meals more often (lower in fat and protein than usual) I hope this helps. Love, Bill
