not one liver tumor, a ton of mini tumors

Can anyone relate to this and suggest a treatment. I have a lots of liver tumors very small, progression of more seems very fast. Any suggestions

I wish I could be by your side right now to give you a big hug, you seems so scared, and it is OK to be scared. I have been there too when I was diagnosed with Stage 4, mets to liver and lungs in Novemrber 2005, after being stage 3c for 7 months when I had Epirubicin, Cytoxan, Taxotere, double mastectomy and radiation. According to my report, I had some small liver mets, and some small mets in both lungs. I was in shock, I thought I was going to die in a few months, it was horrible, I was so scared. Then I had Taxotere/Herceptin for 6 months, and the tumors grew in number, now I had several small tumors in my liver, and I was terrified, so the treatment was changed to Nalvabine/Herceptin, and after 5 months of treatment, the several small tumors in my liver disappeared, and I have been NED on my liver since then (16 months). I am still on treatment, now on Gemzar/Herceptin for lung mets that started growing again, but my liver is clear, and yours will be too. When you find the right treatment for you, it does not matter how many tumors you have, they will all respond to the treatment and they will start shrinking, but it takes some time for this to happen, sometimes months, many months. By the way, how long have you been on Abraxane?
I know it is not easy, but please, try to calm down, take a deep breath, then put on your fighting gloves, and think positive that you WILL find the right treatment, and that your liver mets WILL disappear. Positive thinking is VERY IMPORTANT, I learned this from Andi a long time ago ( she posted recently about this beautifully in another thread for you). Focus on what you want it to happen, and scare away your negative thoughts. Remember, you are in a fight, but you are in this fight to win.
I see that in another thread many of our sisters and brothers have given you excellent suggestions of treatment, and I am sure more will respond. Hang in there. I pray that you will also find the right treatment for you very soon.

I think that Kavy sharing her treatment with you shows that you can
stomp out those small liver tumors. Please do try to consider the glass half full, instead of empty. Remember, you have just started your treatment.

I realize you do much research - therefore, you must know that many new treatments are proving to be successful. What treatment has your onc.
and you decided on to fight these liver mets?

I can relate, this describes me in 2004 (except I also had some HUGE ones!)

Now, you did ask for suggestions re treatment. Not knowing what treatments you have had makes it harder to make suggestions, but I had great results from Taxol/Carboplatin/Herceptin, and I know that others (StephN) have done great with Navelbine/Herceptin. Both for extensive liver mets.
