Dear friends:

We decided that Colleen should come up with something new to try after each chemo session or after each surgery as a reward or an incentive. So far we went to Mt. Bachelor and went inner-tubing down the mountain (the ski lifts were closed due to high wind), we tried playing laser tag, and when she recovers from this last chemo session, we are going to give a try at geocaching (using a GPS receiver to find a hidden prize).

What have you rewarded yourself with?

Lee

P.S.

Okay, I'm running out of ideas. I need your help here.

Girls love new clothes and shoes...

a facial or massage...

sounds like you guys are adventurous types, so bungy jumping?
skydiving?

Hi Colleen's Husband

Well you two certainly sound very energetic.
I didn't feel well enough to do anything remotely
connected to your activities.

My rewards were things like ordering in Chinese food,
having a movie and popcorn night, a chocolate treat,
and sometimes just resting, napping, or getting under
the blankets with a good book.

I am glad that Colleen has lots of energy after her
treatments. My rewards were much quieter.

Have fun!!!

A trip to the coast always picks my spirits up. And how about the hot springs up by Detroit Lake?

When I finished my chemo treatments I bought a new car. After driving the same one for 14 yrs. I felt I deserved it.

I always do clothes, shoes or makeup (high end not Maybelline).

At 2 years - we did a Caribbean trip to St. Kitts for 9 days - the treat was no kids.

We are planning something for 5 yrs so I gotta keep eating right and exercising for another 1.5 years. The hubby wants Mexico so that's what it will probably be.

I vote black leather boots for Colleen. Tall ones with 3 inch heels!
