Interested in sharing your thoughts about treatments for HER2 + metastatic breast cancer?
HealthEd Encore, a patient education agency, is interested in speaking by phone with adults who have HER2+ metastatic breast cancer and their family members. HealthEd is working with a pharmaceutical company to develop educational materials for these women and their family or caregivers.
What does it mean to participate?
You will be asked to participate in a telephone screening interview with a health educator and to review educational materials such as brochures, organizers, or handout sheets.
Can you be assured that the information shared will be kept confidential?
The health educators follow guidelines, including HIPPA regulations, to respect your privacy. Personal contact information is not shared with people outside of HealthEd Encore. Only privacy trained staff at the agency will be in touch with you. Information that is shared with the people at the pharmaceutical company represents a collective summary of the issues related to metastatic breast cancer. No specific information identifying an individual is ever shared.
Will you receive payment for the interview?
A payment of $50 is provided for reviewing a printed handout sheet or brochures. HealthEd Encore will call you for the screening interview, so there are no phone costs for you to pay after your first call to the agency. The comments about the handout sheet and brochures can be faxed or emailed back to HealthEd Encore.
When will the review take place?
HealthEd Encore will be conducting the reviews from Monday, December 10th through Friday, December 14 th.
