response vs resistance to tamoxifen, or so they think--it needs to be confirmed with a large scale trial, but seems promising.
It may not be the only predictor, and there is also acquired(delayed) resistance as well as de novo(immediate) resistance to be considered...but it seems to be pointing the way to developing gene tests to be used BEFORE treatment starts to tailor-fit the treatment to the patient, rather than the old one-size-fits-all approach, and should thus be very welcome
