Hi Brenda!
First I'd like to congratulate you on your 4th year of suvivorship!!
Thanks for posting this link..I attended a Komen Public Forum 2 weeks ago here in Jackson Mississippi (in my role as patient advocate). Madison County, Mississippi has the highest death rate due to BC in the U.S. This forum included the "whos who" in local politics as well as many from the medical community. Komens goal was to have us brainstorm ideas in regards to improving this states death rate from the disease. My suggestion was to have school nurses begin to demonstrate breast self exam in ther middle schools. My thinking is that we teach our kids to brush their teeth as young as possible so that it becomes a "habit'...why not teach them the "habit" of breast (and testicular) self exam at a young age? I know that there are still some religious and social stigmas to overcome...BUT I believe this wil ultimately help save lives.

Ummm, seems I've gotten on my soapbox...sorry!
Many hugs,Marcia
